Marietta Fence Gallery – M2R Trailfest

Shelly Leitheiser with Memories of Ice

The Marietta Fence Gallery is an outdoor gallery that was recently installed with a juried show of artwork done by Georgia artists. “The immersive arts festival that travels through downtown Marietta each year will still incorporate its visual arts displays and activites, just without performance art this year, in light of the coronairus outbreak. During TrailFest, public art is scattered throughout the city. Murals decorate the sides of many buildings, sculptures beautify the Mareitta Square and nearby parks and a fine art and photography installation lines the fence alongside the train tracks. This year, the latter of those art mediums, […]

How to Commission Art

Commissioning art isn’t a scary process and it’s not complicated either. When commissioning art from a talented artist, you can ask just about anything of them that’s in their wheelhouse. Since you see landscapes, realism, impressionism, portraits, animal art, and abstract art here on Fine Art South, you can get any of those types of art done with a commission request. To commission art from Fine Art South, you can start the process by using the Contact form here. For more basic information on commissions and how to do it, see the article below reprinted in part from Artfinder Don’t […]

Small Works Show

Bocawina Falls

You can find two of my paintings from Fine Art South at the Grandview Gallery in Atlanta in their current Small Works and 3D art show. The show runs through August 15, 2019. Both are acrylic paintings the same size, 12″ x 12″, framed in black floater frames. The first is Bocawina Falls, which is based on a scene at the bottom of a waterfall in Belize. The scene is based on my own photos. Belize is one of my favorite places to visit in Central America. The other painting is an abstract titled “Dark Matter” and it has a […]
